"The difficult thing about communication is the illusion that it’s taken place".
Copywriting opened my eyes to a whole new world. And gave me the ability to get your message heard.
It's all about clear communication. What your ideal client needs to hear. Otherwise, your voice gets lost in the sea of noise and drama. As someone who wasn’t heard for the longest time, I know how it feels. And I want more for you. Number Six of Eight – That was Me When you’re number six and quiet, you take it all in. Who needs to talk? Your siblings are happy to jump in and speak for you. Sometimes I envied how other kids spoke up. They seemed so bold. But I couldn’t see myself doing that. My childhood was pretty good. Lots of family adventures. The security of being loved. What did it matter that I let others speak for me... or pretended not to care when no one heard my little voice? Would I ever feel comfortable to speak up and be heard? |
The Price I Paid
Years passed before I realized the importance of getting heard.
As a junior buyer for a prestigious department store, I was the model employee.
Diligent. Hardworking. A serial ‘Employee Of The Month’ winner.
At a company wide event, I sat with bated breath in the auditorium. Poised to jump when they called my name. Ready to accept my promotion in front of the whole staff.
A numbness spread over me as I watched my peers walk to the front and leave me behind.
Wait. What?
Management offered little sympathy. They expected me to speak up and request a promotion. But I thought my work would speak for itself and never said a word.
I didn’t realize communication held the key to my success.
My Shift
My joy faded. I felt frustrated, unhappy and unfulfilled.
Unaware of an unconscious belief—that getting heard meant being forceful, loud and arrogant—kept me from reaching my potential.
However, something was about to change…
A New Approach
Seems I had a natural ability to organize others. In my gentle way, I’d empower clients to let stuff go. And finally free themselves from the clutter weighing them down. My clients felt a major sense of relief and way less stress.
Seeing their dramatic change affected me. I realized the value of what I had to offer. I couldn’t sit by hoping people would find me. I needed to get my message heard.
My search led me in a completely unexpected direction.
Copywriting.
Copywriting opened up a whole new world for me.
Finally, I knew how to be heard. Not by being loud or forceful. But simply choosing the right words. Words with the power to cut through the noise and get heard above the roar.
I was no longer limited to changing one life at a time, as in organizing. I’d found a platform to help businesses transform the lives of many .
My Three Loves Combined
Copywriting allows me to learn constantly, solve problems and serve others in a meaningful way. Three values I've treasured my whole life.
The good news is I get to do what I love every day AND help you get heard by the right audience.
